FSC-Certified Wood Frames - All our sofa frames provide solid foundation you can trust and are made with wood you can feel good about. We use only FSC-certified wood, which is harvested in a sustainable fashion from well-managed forests that responsibly protect endangered species and old growth trees. It is truly feel-good wood.

Latex Foam Cushions - Sustainably-harvested rubber tree sap turns into totally clean comfort as foam in our chair and sofa cushions. Natural latex foam resists dust mites, mold, mildew, and bacteria and is durable, biodegradable and renewable. Most mainstream furniture is constructed with petroleum-based foam (polyurethane), which clogs up landfills and the air quality in your home.

Organic Cotton & Wool Batting - More chemicals are used on cotton than any other crop, and that just won't fly when it comes to a healthy home. We use all organic cotton batting in our cushions, coupled with naturally fire-retardant and anti-microbial organic wool. The result is furniture that is free of chemicals and critters known to cause allergic reactions and reduce indoor air quality.

Eight-Way Hand-Tied Steel Coils - This traditional, labor-intensive construction method provides superior comfort and structural integrity. Recycled steel coils are each tied with jute fiber cord eight times, from front to back, side to side and crossways, to prevent give in the frame. Perhaps the only instance in which we don't believe in giving, it does mean you're bound to get a whole lot more from your sofa.

Adhesives - We use 100% solvent-free, water-based glues on all furniture. These adhesives emit no VOCs (volatile organic compounds), unlike conventional glue products, making them less smelly and far smarter for use in the home. Water-based glues do not negatively impact indoor air quality, so you stay healthy while your sofa sticks together.
